Meet the passionate founder working to provide more kids with quality, after-school technology programming. In doing so, Olu hopes to equip young people with the marketable skills to not only staff, but one that leads tech industry through empowerment.
Olu Ibrahim, M.Ed, Founder and CEO
Olu thanks her parents for her insatiable appetite for learning, and her commitment to empowering others to participate in the innovation economy. Raised in Wisconsin by Nigerian-born parents who moved to the States to further their education, she started exploring technology when her dad brought home the Gateway 2000 PC and told her and her sisters it was “the future”.
For the last decade, she has played an integral role in supporting education-related nonprofits to design strategies for adapting to the technology revolution.
She founded Kids in Tech, Inc. to address the specific need of educating young people to become the next generation of tech-savvy leaders. Through Kids in Tech, Inc. she plans to prioritize the exposure of young people to computer science from the earliest age, excite young learners about technology, and stimulate a culture of curiosity and learning. In doing so Olu hopes to equip young people with the marketable skills to not only staff, but one day lead, the American tech industry.
