Lowell–On Tuesday, November 13, Representative David Nangle (D-Lowell), joined Kids in Tech at the Moody Elementary School to learn about the Kids in Tech STEM after-school programming. The students shared with Representative Nangle what they’ve done so far this year in Tech Club, including building their own video games.

The accessibility to STEM education that Kids in Tech provides is exactly what we need in our community right now. I’ve seen the city of Lowell transform in front of my very eyes and I’ve offered my full support through every step of the transition,” said Representative Nangle. “We are not the mill city anymore, we’re an innovation hub. Projects like bringing Kronos global headquarters here to Lowell don’t happen, never mind succeed, without ensuring programs like Kids in Tech have the resources they need to educate and excite our future tech leaders.

“It’s clear that the Representative understands the importance of STEM education starting early and how necessary it is for us to work as a community – educators, corporations and government – to excite our region’s youth about tech now to fill the jobs of the future,” said Olu Ibrahim, founder of Kids in Tech

Representative David Nangle is a Lowell High graduate and politician who serves as a state legislator serving in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. He represents 17th Middlesex District and was elected to the office in 1998.
