Ready to help others, make a positive difference, and set local students on a path of lifelong learning and growth? Kids in Tech is hiring part-time Tutors to join us in Boston, MA and help students aged 8 to 14 improve in the academic areas they're struggling with.
We're offering high school students pay starting at $19.00/hour, while college students can earn $20.00 - $25.74/hour. We also compensate for preparation time! Join us and help make a difference for every person you tutor!
QUALIFICATIONS

WHAT TO EXPECT
Our Tutors work a minimum of one hour per week throughout the entire school year (September to June) between our tutoring hours of 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday. Additional time is needed for required training and team meetings.
In this part-time tutoring role, you shape students' academic journeys and inspire them to excel and improve! Working one-on-one and in small groups, you help children improve their STEM knowledge and guide them through the subjects they struggle with. Using our session structure and approved materials, you prepare your lesson plans before attending the tutoring sessions. You show up to sessions on time and ready to get to work.
As you tutor the children, you praise their efforts, acknowledge their successes, and build their confidence every day. You maintain administrative records for the students and model appropriate behaviors during your sessions. Throughout the year, you participate in formal reviews, attend training, and go to quarterly staff meetings. You help children grow a love for learning and set them on a path of future success and development!
