Senior Manager of Programs - Kids in Tech
Location: Hybrid - Lowell/Boston, MA

About Kids in Tech
Kids in Tech is a growing nonprofit focused on empowering kids ages 8-14 with the skills and confidence to participate in and lead the 21st-century innovation economy. Through our hands-on, interactive After-School Tech Club and other STEM programming, we partner with schools and community organizations in Lowell and Boston to improve STEAM access for all.
About the Role
The Senior Manager of Programs plays a key leadership role in overseeing the quality, consistency, and growth of Kids in Tech's after-school programming. This person will manage a team of program staff, serve as a bridge between strategy and execution, and ensure programs are implemented effectively across multiple sites. The ideal candidate has a strong background in education or youth development, excellent people management skills, and experience driving outcomes in community-based programs.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Strategy
- Lead implementation of after-school programs across all sites
- Support the design and continuous improvement of curricula and program structures
- Develop and manage systems for program evaluation
- Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic initiatives
Staff Supervision & Development
- Directly supervise Senior Program Coordinator(s), Program Coordinators, and Instructors
- Provide coaching and professional development support
- Lead staff meetings and training sessions
School & Community Partnerships
- Build and maintain relationships with school administrators and community partners
- Serve as liaison for program implementation
- Support partner recruitment strategies
Operations & Administration
- Manage program budgets and supplies
- Collaborate on data tracking and reporting
- Ensure compliance with safety and child protection standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in education, youth development, or nonprofit management
- 2+ years supervising full-time staff or multi-site programs
- Strong knowledge of program evaluation
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
Salary Range: $75,000-$79,000 annually, commensurate with experience
